I am proud of the woman I am today, because I went through one hell of a time becoming her.

(life learned feelings)

Recently I sat at a table having dinner, drinking wine and chatting with friends. Maybe it was the wine that made me emotional but as I looked around me, I realised that everyone has a story. Not one person sitting at that table did not have a story to tell.

Each one had some sort of pain to deal with in their lives. Pain in one form or another was a common thread among us but every one a survivor too. Every one of them a strong woman.....stronger even as a consequence. Each one dealt a different hand to struggle with....pain that still haunts some and always will.....but, to the outside world - happy women with perfect lives.

I realised that no one really knows the demons that another has to deal with. We are, all too often, quick to judge without seeing the bigger picture.

"Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always." Brad Meltzer

Maybe it's life experiences and age but I think this would be a great motto for my life now "Be kind. Always".No more comparing....no more judging. Just accepting that opinions are different, choices are different, lives are different. But at the end of the day we are all women doing the best we can with the hand we are dealt in life.
